'The Mighty Nach (Live)' is Albannach's first live album, recorded during their 2007 tour and released in 2008.
This album took nearly a year to complete, and was recorded live at various gigs and events throughout Scotland and North America during 2007. It features the favourite tracks of both the band, and their fans - and also includes a couple of non-album tracks that they only perform live.
Filmed during 2007, in the 14th century Mugdock Castle in Scotland, this LIVE recording is like having Albannach in your living room !
Listening to Albannach, some people say they close their eyes and for a while they are running across the heather in some Scottish glen. Others say that they feel they're standing next to their kin, ready to follow their chief into battle against Scotland's foes. Then there are those who say it takes them even further back, back to somewhere primal, somewhere deep inside the earth, deep inside themselves, somewhere at the beginning of it all.... somewhere B.C.
'The Story' is an abstract and artistic short documentary which captures the essence, the energy and the passion of Albannach from a slightly different angle.
Filmed in 2008, this 18 minute documentary looks at the influences on the band, and also the influences they have on their friends and fans.
